BLESSED TOMORROW
Blessed Tomorrow is a coalition of diverse religious partners united as faithful stewards of creation. Together, they inspire communities to take action today on one of the greatest moral challenges of our era — protecting our shared home.
Their website explains, "We are compelled by a higher power to act on our responsibility to serve one another, future generations, and the most vulnerable as we witness the impacts of climate change within our neighborhoods and throughout the world. We will be stewards of God’s creation, empower our communities, and call on fellow leaders to create a healthy future for us all."
THIRD ACT FAITH
Third Act is building a community of Americans over the age of sixty determined to change the world for the better. Together, we use our life experience, skills, and resources to build a better tomorrow. Elders in the Third Act Faith Working Group are motivated to explore how their spirituality and faith directs them to rise from their places of worship to stabilize the climate and our democracy.
GREEN FAITH
Because the Earth and all people are sacred and at risk, GreenFaith is building a worldwide, multi-faith climate and environmental movement. Together our members create communities to transform ourselves, our spiritual institutions, and society to protect the planet and create a compassionate, loving and just world. Together, we are building resilient, caring communities and economies that meet everyone’s needs and protect the planet. The era of conquest, extraction, and exploitation has given way to cooperation and community.
INTERFAITH POWER & LIGHT
The mission of Interfaith Power & Light is to inspire and mobilize people of faith and conscience to take bold and just action on climate change.
This campaign intends to protect the earth’s ecosystems, safeguard the health of all Creation, and ensure sufficient, sustainable energy for all. Since the year 2000, IPL has helped thousands of congregations address global warming by being better stewards of energy.
350.org
350.org uses grassroots organizing, online campaigns, and mass public actions to oppose new coal, oil and gas projects, take money out of the companies that are heating up the planet, and build 100% clean energy solutions that work for all. 350's network extends to 188 countries.
POOR PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN
The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival is uniting tens of thousands of people across the country to challenge the evils of systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, ecological devastation and the nation’s distorted morality.
SIERRA CLUB
Founded by legendary conservationist John Muir in 1892, the Sierra Club is the nation's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization -- with three million members and supporters. Their successes range from protecting millions of acres of wilderness to helping pass the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act. More recently, they've made history by leading the charge to move away from the dirty fossil fuels that cause climate disruption and toward a clean energy economy.
